HOW DO YOU START MAKING A CUSTOM PINBALL GAME?

The first place to start is with a super-duper "ORIGINAL" theme idea, no need to copy anyone else here, we begin from scratch! Another inside secret to making great pinball design is the pre-visualization or storyboard stage. Coming up with ideas and concepts on paper can happen quickly for a pinball design team. The amount of "early" effort they spend on drawing (with pencil) and sketching these ideas down helps tremendously to understand the features, game play, art theme or basic playfield geometry and toyatic devices. The best work comes after a lengthy "pre-viz" stage coupled with an amazing hardworking creation team.

The current development of Magic Girl™ has yielded a huge amount of design, illustration, mockups and photographic media all recording the design process. The same attention to pinball design will take hold of this process as well in Ben Heck's Zombie Advetureland! The studio doors will be opened even more for people to visit, take part, design their games the way they want, create 3d parts or watch us working live on the web.

The great thing about pinball design is each designer, or team has a totally different method of working. Some are really fast, others are slow and methodical. And what works for one person does not work for the other. But getting to the end, making a great pinball, is the goal.
